Private House, Lincoln

Remodelling and refurbishment of a private house situated within a block of residential properties, located within conservation area number three, close to Grade II listed buildings and chapel.

The project included single storey kitchen/dining extension, a two-storey extension to accommodate master bedroom, en-suite, lounge and reading room.

The location, extent, massing and scale of the proposed extensions was discussed at length with planning officers during the pre-app process. The contemporary design allows the building to sit separately from the eclectic mix of building styles and heritage assets surrounding it. The material palette utilises natural materials to reflect the surrounding vernacular. The flat roof helps to minimise the buildings impact on its surroundings.
